There's not gonna be a choice.
Expect MPG to be the same as a V8. Real world you're gonna see anywhere from 16-18 mpg. But anyone who is concerned with having to buy premium fuel or getting great mpg, sorry this truck isn't for you.

I read that in a C&D write-up but I'm not buying it. I think that would be a deal breaker for a lot of potential buyers.


ADD has a couple that they are using to mock up parts, I sent them a message about it. They may not be able to answer but I'll post up if they do.

That's cool I was just curious. I usually run a 91 or 93 tune anyways. Although it may be a while before there are tunes available for the 2nd gen Eco and HO Eco??

Same here. Run a 91 tune on my 2015. Looking forward to getting one of these new Raptors.

I just spoke with a salesman at a dealership in Las Vegas (claims to be the largest Raptor dealership in the US) who had a chance to drive the new Raptor a couple weeks back at some Ken Block demo of it at their dealership. He owns a previous gen Raptor and said the new one with the HO EcoBoost V6 made his 6.2L V8 feel like a wimpy four-cylinder in comparison. He also said the new 10-speed is incredible and shifts telepathically (which is what I know GM/Ford have been saying in the press...that it will be faster shifting than Porsche's PDK which is the industry benchmark). He sounded incredibly impressed, although they only get 38 allocations for MY17 and there are 70+ people on his waiting list already, so it will be a long, long wait to get one if you didn't put in an order the day the orders opened.

I've seen a silver 2017 Raptor driving up and down the interstate here over the past month (must be a test mule but is completely uncamo'd) and it looks badass in person.

Is the intercooler condensate issue fixed? Is the fuel in oil fixed? Any idea how long the cam phasers will last before they go bad?

Not sure? Not even sure if those were widespread issues? My 2011 and 2014 never had any of those issues.

Hmm - they do seem like widespread issues from what I see and hear. The condensate issue seems to be the biggest and is still affecting current engines.
