Default 2017 Chinese Raptor Spotted in Howell, MI

Spotted this Chinese Raptor test mule at Lowes yesterday in the Detroit suburb of Howell. Didn't get anymore pictures because I was in a hurry. The headlights were a lot better looking than the LED's and it didn't have the corner marker lights.

I can already see the massive request for import of those headlights for the NA raptors. They have a point, and look a lot better than the LED's in my opinion. I agree, Martian, that grill looks amazing!

Default Chinese Raptor?

Why is it called that? I know several part of anything are now made somewhere else. Is this whole thing made in china?

It's called the Chinese Raptor because this is the version that will be sold in China. The US DOT requires certain items follow their rules. China is more lapse in their laws, so Ford could change some things if they want to. All Raptors will be built in the same factory in North America.

NoStopN is correct that it is engineered and built here for export to china.

However, China actually has some pretty strict laws for imported vehicles. You have to comply or not sell the vehicle there. Ford couldn't just change what they wanted to. Ford wouldn't make unique parts for such a small market if they didn't have to.

All of the differences were required...including that stupid red and white reflective tape all over it.
