Default 2013 6.2 Warranty Ending

I moved this from the 2009-2014 Forum at the suggestion of one of our peers....

My "new to me" 2013 FX4 6.2 warranty is nearing the end of it's time. Haven't done anything to is with exception of front 5100 struts. Runs and works great (let's not talk about Sync and the iPhone though)... Anyway, I plan to ask the dealer to do a "check up" on it just prior to the warranty expiration. With the (guessing here) well over 1,000 years combined experience on this forum, anything specific I should check?

I honestly don't see a reason to have them check it unless it's broke?

if nothing sounds / feels / looks wrong, I would actually stay away from the dealer

you may look into an extended warranty for extended peace of mind (plenty of info on here), but other than that, your truck is not programmed to explode as soon as the warranty is over (not that Ford will admit anyway )

I would recommend getting an extended warranty if you can find one cheap enough. I already made my money back on mine with repair /rental car. It took them 5 days to figure out that the water pump was starting to leak. Originally took it in for rough idle and smoke on startup. Rental was $500 and water pump replacement was about $450. Just fyi
