What truck years are blowing spark plugs?
I am not having the problem yet but was talking to a guy that I work with who just traded his F150 because it blew the plugs while he was travelling. I just want to know if my 2010 with the 5.4 is going to have the problem. This might be an excuse to trade for a new truck.

I have a 2004 with a 4.6 V8 and i shot 2 out of the head in 2 weeks. From what i understand they remedied the problem in 08' or 09'.

The blown spark plug problems were for the 97-03 and 04 heritage. The NBS 04-08 have the stuck/broken plug problem.
The blown problem is easily prevented by torquing to a new standard instead of what the old manuals state. The broken plugs are prevented by having one piece plugs and antiseize. Your 2010 should have the updated plugs, so it should be fine.

I have a 2007 XLT Reg Cab with the 4.6 V8. I blew out a spark plug on the 3rd cylinder Friday night. Took it to ford and they had to extract it and put in a heli coil and redo the threads. The blown out plug also caused it to break the coil pack as well. $392 later I'm back on the road. 3 weeks ago, I had a check engine light start flashing and the truck ran rough at about 70 MPH. Took it in and they had to replace cylinder 1 spark plug and coil.
I am hearing about these problems in trucks 2005 and older. Anyone have problems with 2006 and newer?
