help! how do you clean fuel injectors
Got a '98 4.6l with 126k recently started acting like it wasn't firing on all cylinders. Was told by a friend to check the injectors and clean them out. Any help would be appreciated or send me the link if someone has done them before. Also how do I check to see if a cylinder is misfiring? I hooked up a code scanner and came up with nothing, but I cant figure out what else it could be. Plugs, wires, I have no idea. Please anyone help.

Best cleaner on the market hands down. You can't find it in stores so you will need to order directly from the website, just make up a business name they don't verify it.

Kreen is far different from typical cleaners you find on a store shelf, it's an extremely strong industrial strength cleaner and even comes with a MSDS. It's worth a shot at $15 which is enough to treat your crankcase + fuel tank (plus they throw in a free can of Kroil spray which is the absolute best for removing frozen bolts), I ran it through my old F150 that had a 4.2L with 110k miles and it brought new life to my engine. Here is a nice thread with some more information about Kreen : http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums...1940735&page=1

I have heard this Kreen stuff is amazing for loosening stuck bolts. As for injector cleaning, I want o try it. But my engine runs pretty strong. The previous owner said he always throws in a $3 bottle of STP injector cleaner with every other fill up and I've been doing the same since I've owned my truck, 2 months. All I know is my 4.6 idles smooth, has good power and drives like new so I will continue doing this.
