My truck is knocking and I can't tell if its bottom end or top end I also don't know whether to sell it or have it fixed..It's got 260k on it and new head gaskets and fresh rear diff and trans...any suggestions? Thanks

with 260k on it I'd drop a Jasper rebuilt in it and go for another 260.
You won't find a better truck than what you have.

It's a valve spring broke or valve starting to loosen up I'm about to pull the cover

update..i took the PASSENGER side valve cover off and everything looked good. so i started, everything was tight from what i could tell. today i started it and pulled injectors loose one by one on the DRIVERS side and found which piston is tapping.. with the injector or plug wire unhooked, the knock dies out.

so rebuild,or jasper? and the Jasper motor is 2200 with the core. Anyone know their installation price?
