5.0 engine knock

It sounds HORRIBLE! It sure was not part of the sales pitch for sure! I've got video/audio of the noise and working through Ford to find the issue. To date, they've not been able to tell me it's origin ..where it's coming from etc. Just that its normal and it's tolorance. My problem with that statment is again, if it's normal..what is it that make the knock? And if you say tolorance...the warmer it gets shouldn't the heat make things fit tighter, not looser to the point of knocking. Something is hitting on RPM rotation...it's timed with the RPM so...

At any rate, I've got some video I need to post. I've found some that are similar and I think it may be related to the above TSB.. I just feel at this point I should be compensated. This is getting rediculous. I read an article where a rep from Kelly Blue Book said that an engine knock will decrese the resale value between 4-6K!!! So this normal sounds devalues my truck right out of the gate!
I'm also at this point going to hand this over to an attorney. It's been in the shop 3 times for the same issue etc etc...also, now they are refusing to see it or even talk to me. I just document everything.

Yeah, I'm speaking to a Ford rep for this area. She's been helping somewhat. Bottom line, is noone can tell me what is making the noise but only to say it's "normal". I'm going to have an independant mech take a look and give his diagnosis (in writing) and then off to the dealer(s) to listen to other new trucks that are reportatly making the same noise. In the mean time, the last Ford service dept. told me they could not hear it, and that what I was describing sounds like TSB 12-3-1. They said they didn't want to do it cause it wasnt making the sound for them...and that it's one of Fords most expensive TSB's.

5.0 Engine Knock
Good luck. Mine still knocks and any help from Ford is a fat chance. They are turning a blind eye to an obvious problem. I have basically given up on getting this resolved. My advise get rid of the truck and stay away from Fords. Thats my plan.

I will provide an update. It's been one year since I dump my 5.0 truck with its knocking engine. I also sold my Shelby. Done with fords. All I can say is the Chevy I replace it with is perfect. And the Shelby is being replaced by new corvette. good luck to all with this problem.

Just took by 2011 F150 5.0, 50,000 miles, into the dealer for a steady knocking sound at idle. They said it was a TSB that required the AC suction hose and serpentine belt to be replaced. He called in a kit that was available to correct this issue. $465.00 and is not covered on the extended warranty!! Any one have the same issue?
The sound is noticeable at idle, but goes away once increase rpms.
