Just thought id update. i removed my egr and cleaned it and installed it again and no sign of the check engine light but its idleing at 2,000 again. Bad egr? it started idling bad after i cleaned the egr.

Really sounds like a bad vacuum leak. Have you tried using a piece of tubing to your ear or an unlit propane torch? The propane will cause the engine to really idle up for a second or two. You can even spray starting fluid or throttle body cleaner around the intake area. A leaky PCV suction line can cause this. Just some added thoughts.

Hey MKRanger go look at my other thread i posted yesterday about my vacuum issue and tell me what you think..
