Default Oil Pan Removal 83 F-100

I am trying to remove the oil pan on my 83 F-100 (300 6cyl). I have followed the procedures in the manual but it just wont come out.

I have taken loose the two front motor mount and raised the engine. I have taken all the oil pan bolts off and dropped the pan to the crossmember. I then removed the oil pump and pick up tube. I also removed the rear crossmber and raised the transmission but I still don't have enough clearance for the oil pan to slide out.

I am afraid of raising the engine any higher. Is it safe to raise the engine by using a floor jack with a 2x4 on the crank pully?

Thanks
