2016 5.0L hydraulic lifter failure
I had a rear exhaust hydraulic valve lifter (lash adjuster) collapse on cylindar #7 on my newly purchased 2016 F150 XLT 5.0L at ONLY 500km! It made a loud ticking noise at idle and upon acceleration. Was determined to be faulty and was replaced by dealership under warranty. Has anyone else experienced this issue!?

Happened to me this week as well with my 2016 XLT 2.7L with 9,980 miles. Mine happened with cylinder #3. Happened on Tuesday, and was supposed to get it back today but the wrong parts were ordered.
Originally the dealership (not the one I leased from) told me that it was a normal sound that EcoBoost's make, but I called their BS. I asked the shop foreman to take it for a test drive with me, and park next to a building to confirm that the noise was much more than a simple thing.
They said mine was a lifter failure, as well as something in the rocker arm. I've been fighting with Ford for 3 days about a loaner/rental since I have to drive 35 miles one way for work. Other than that, I have the lease maintenance plan so nothing is on me as far as that goes...and I'm certainly not paying for the loaner/rental.
