Default Why would you lower a truck?

Why would you drop a "pickup" truck? That would be like raising a vet with a 6" lift kit!!! My assessment is it is a "pickup" not a "pickdown"!!! LOL

Because it is their truck and their money; to each their own.

Lowered trucks = less wind drag and better aerodynamics = faster truck!

Such an original thought, troll.

My question is: why lift a truck that will never see off-road? How many of the bro-dozers rolling around the mall parking lot will actually see off-road duty? Instead, they get terrible mileage, decreased performance, and so on.

Suits my needs better. Why would you lift a truck?

Webster Dictionary defines a pickup truck as "a light truck having an enclosed cab and an open body with low sides and tailgate."

The term "Pickup" was originally coined because you could pick something up and put it in the bed. When you lift the truck it makes it harder to put things in the bed.

If you take personal preference out of it, there is only 1 reason to lift a truck and it is for ground clearance, which 99% of the people who even take there truck offroad wouldn't need any more than stock.

Lowered trucks
Pros:
MPG
Vehicle stability
Easier to load bed
Performance

Cons:
Less ground clearance

Lifted trucks
Pros:
More ground clearance

Cons:
MPG
Harder to load bed
Vehicle stability
Performance

I've had both.. My biggest issue with lifted is trying to manuever a 180lb wheel/tire combo...

Preference is the main reason why we do what we do.. A nice clean lowered is the ****.. Never heard of anyone having issues.. Lifting.. So much crap can break.. Definitely not cheap.. That's why mine doesn't off-road more.. I dont like to waste money fixin it..
