It has been covered. Helper bags are first thing you should install if you use your truck at all.

If you are planning on lowering it then helper bags only become more important. A notch if done correctly is as strong and typicaly stronger then the stock frame. Since it should be over built it is much stronger then the factory frame.

A truck that lays frame should be able to haul or tow just as much if not more then factory.
