Default UPDATE:Feb 16 Droops Belltech 3/5 with sway bar install.

THIS BY NO MEANS IS A HOW TO...

It's just that I've searched for tip/pointers on how to do this and didnt find too much so I thought I'd document as I go.

Some might remember last year I had my factory front springs cut for a 2in drop and rear leaf springs de-arched plus a shackle for a 4in drop in the rear. Front rode ok but the rear was a bit bouncy.

Doing it right this time with brand new factory rear leafs and Belltech's 908sp kit, and since wifey was already mad at me also went with the rear sway bar.

I'll start the install in the morning, take pics as I go and post them up. ALL help and suggestions are definitely welcome. This will be my first drop on a truck.

Very nice. I'm leaning towards this set up for mine.

Default Got the front done.......

Here's a few pics of me doing the front tear down and reinstall.....

Started with the removal of this hose, ABS line I think, so there wouldn't be any tension on it later..

As per Belltech's instructions I removed the sway bar endlinks..

Then removed the bolt for the bottom of the shock tower...

Went on to remove the bolt for the ball joint. Didn't have a puller so I hit it with a hammer. worked fine.

I went on to remove the 3 nuts on the top of the shock tower...

No power tools. All wrenches and ratches...ugh....

At this point was getting tired so pics slowed down. Here's a pic of the 2in lowering spring and drop strut. Only installed with one 16mm ring and one 8mm ring for a 1.5in drop, that combined with the 2in spring was hoping to get a 3.5in drop.

This is where passenger front sat before(with oem cut springs for a approx 2in drop)..

And now...

Driver side front before....

After.....

Before....

After....

Totally loving the new look. Took it for a test drive and NO rubbing but only time will tell. Tomorrow I'll tackle the flip kit. Not looking forward to the 20mph shutter.

Thanks. I'm hella nervous bout doing the back. Cutting, grinding, and and relocating, dang.

Rims are 22x9.5 and have a "mid" offset, that's all I was told bout the offset. Paper tires are 265/35's. I think that's why I got away with the drop.

Well I only drove it around town for like 20 minutes, hit some decent dips, r/r crossings, etc. When I got home looked for marks on tires and inner fender well and didn't see anything. I know doesn't mean I'm in the clear so I'm keeping and eye on it. I'm really hoping I can stay with it at that height.
