Default tire shop against 305/40/22's with a 3/5 drop

They said they're even against 285/45's or 40's. They only recommend 265/35's. Makes sense since it's the same place that sold me my 265/35's 3 years ago.

The tire shop is wrong; you should be able to fit up to 285/50/22 without problem. I believe HawaiiKid has this same setup.

edit: Nevermind I see yours is a '04-'08 and it may be different.

You should definitely be able to fit bigger than 265/35. That's a tiny tire!

I'm lower than 3" up front running 305/40 on 23x10's (32.6" tall tire). No rubbing.
Of course, your offset will affect the biggest you can fit, but no way 265/35 is the biggest.

I have 275/55/20 and there was no issue when I was 3/5.
285/45 should fit no problem...on stock wheel.
aftermarket wheel...all depend on the offset/width.

A lot of tire shops have policies for liability purposes. They use guidelines on what they can put on certain size wheels and applications and they stick to it. What tire company is it?

Just start calling around. We have wheel and tire places coming out the ears here, and you can always find someone to do the work.

There looks to be plenty of room up front. It's the back that I'm worried about. It's true that it's all about the offset. I just don't know what mine is. I've changed my ride height so much, I forget where I'm at. Right now up front I have bell tech 3 in drop springs with drop struts with 3 of the bigger ring on so I believe that's stock setting. In back bell tech flip kit with factory shackle. Not sure if that's 5, 5.5, or 6 in drop.

It's from a Rent a Wheel/Tire place. But it was a younger guy who was trying sell me the rubber bands. Sometimes it's the younger guys who "tend" to like the big wheel rubber band look. Not clowning that look just wanting something more comfortable.

Yeah my problem seems to be in the back if you roll your fender there really isn't much of a problem.
