Slammed Raptor? Yes!

You are right azmidget91, they must have modified the original hood to match the curvature of the raptor fenders

Well... I do agree that a lowered truck could have the same or more payload and towing capabilities (assuming quality bags) and of course handling is going to be better because you can corner like a car and not have to worry about roll over. But... it doesn't take "extreme" off roading to find their flaws. You can pretty much get stuck in my front yard with those paper thin slick tires, which also leads to bent rims on south Louisiana roads. Ride quality is NOT better, the stiff suspension and unforgiving tires are more likely to leave your bed in the street than to leave you thinking of how nice the ride is (we have some pretty terrible roads here). I've been down that road and promised myself "never again" and I don't miss it. I still admire the tastefully done baggers at the shows but am glad I no longer own one.
You don't have to put rubber bands on 20" wheels. Hell with 22" wheels you can still have a good sidewall. If lowed correctly you will have factory ride or better. Most drop kits keep factory springs.
Not saying you have to like lowered trucks, sounds like you had one that wasn't done properly and it steered you away.

That is definitely a conversion. And I find "slamming" a truck is the biggest oxymoron ever. Especially in a raptor. Defeats the whole sole purpose and the functionality of a regular truck never mind a raptor. To each their own, but I have a hard time seeing any sort of lowered truck and being able to call it a truck.
I just dont get it. Why not give a Vette a 8" lift?
