Rusty Belltech struts after 1 season.
So I got these struts installed just 11 months ago. Going through 1 winter season is this normal to have this much corrosion? Even the bushings look like they are falling apart. I had the bolts tighten with the full weight of the truck on its suspension. Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks
At least it looks good lowered (2/3drop)

That is why I am glad I went with DJM with the lowering control arms and not drop struts. That looks really bad as far as paint. Doesn't look bad enough to worry about. I would get the bushings changed to a poly set though.

My struts on my 2004 (originals) don't look that bad. Been in the salt belt since 2012. Replaced rear shocks as they were bouncy. The fronts are still doing fine.

Could be that someone didn't feel like doing the painting of that strut properly on that day lol.

You'll want to call Belltech quickly, they only warranty the bushings for one year....
That said, except for the rust mine did the same thing... there's a post in here somewhere.... I swapped to the DJM control arms and Bilsteins. The bushing material inside the strut was still OK, it was just the outer exposed area that fell apart.

I had the same grief, one day before i traded my 2013 truck on a 2017. the front belltech struts failed/bent/broke/structually defected and dropped the front suspension to the point where it broke the boots on the front drive shafts. not very nice. It was a 2/3 drop that i had on for 45kms. Nor will i be buying a belltech product again... tho i never did give them a chance to chime in..... i couldnt invest the time in fighting with the warranty process across the border
if i was to do a mild lowering on my new ride, i would use the Ford M3000H4 kit only... it isnt worth the level of unreliability for me- to use anything less.
