Hello i got a pre production belltech kit 2/4 drop with optional sway bar and let me tell you the truck rides and handles amazing. It also gave me the proper drop and can be adjusted if nedded to a 3/5.5 drop. I was also considering the mcgaughys kit but the only thing that stopped me was that it did not include new shocks as this is a weak point in the stock suspension so i can imagine lowering doesnt make it any better. Your other point of it being all over the place i think its very simple either variation in stock trucks or improper installation is the only way it wouldnt drop what its advertised .
