Default New to lowered need some answers

I want to lower my 08 150 but just enough to level it out I see a lot of people use shackles is that alright for towing? and what about lowering blocks would that be okay instead of shackles? im new to all of this and want to know what would be better for towing and handling. any answers would be great

Lowering blocks don't work on these trucks. You would have to flip the axle first which would lower your truck 6".

Shackles are the way to go if you just want to lower the rear. You will be fine for towing.

It's cheap too! Here's what to order.

The pinch weld on the bottom of the bed will need to be bent or cut so it doesn't hit the shackle. Depending on the amount if weight you tow helper bags wouldn't hurt.

My 07 with just over 2" drop with Chassis Tech shackles in the rear. FX2's sit WAY high in the rear for some reason. No shims and no vibrations:

If I'm not mistaken, the 04-08 generation of FX2's had a block in the rear, same as the FX4. If you take it out, and get shorter u bolts you will be level.
