Question to guys who ran 26's
Hey guys im thinking of going with some 26's for something different, but i've heard the stories, good and bad about having big rims. Im going from a 275 18"
Couple Q's.
Did you regret going that big of a rim later on?
How much worse was the ride?
Did you stick with stock suspension or get something else?
If anyone can chime in that'd be great. thanks!

Can't comment on 26"'s, but I went from my factory 20's to 22's, yes it rides stiffer and I personally wouldn't go any bigger, lost power, fuel mileage, and braking ability, on the plus side, I do get a lot of compliments and do like the way they look.
But it is also my everyday truck, really depends on your needs/wants.

is there ANYTHING good about running 26s on a truck?
more rim = less tire so most likely yes, the ride will be stiffer...

The rim is bigger so you will have a more rough ride. As far as power loss. That will happen if you go with some ****ty wheel that weighs a ton. Sometimes the bigger wheel and less tire weighs less than a factory wheel. I went from 22s to 20s because I hated the ride on 22s. I will eventually be going to 24s but only when I can afford to buy a good tire to put on them. Alot of it also depends on the tire you have on the wheel.

set up many 295 30 26 is a good combo but adds tons of weight. the 24x10 with a 295 35 24 is a good way to go and still has good size sidewall

I wouldn't consider my Shelby wheels a "****ty" wheel, as they were cast by Alcoa, but I can tell you they are heavy as hell!

I only have 22's and just put the factory wheels back on for a couple winter months. I hate the way the 18's feel, the truck feels like it's floating. I like the stiffness of the 22's it helps the truck stick to the road on those off ramps at 80 mph.
