That conflicts with 90% of what I have read or been told nor does that make sense. Placing the thick end facing the front of the truck will raise the front of the pumpkin. The link is just one of many articles I have read......

The different length shackles changed the geometry with arc, so the wedges are needed at the back. The shackles acturlly swung the pumpkin yoke end down toward the ground. You are correct sir. I should have looked at the directions. LOL I didn't expect the difference in length of the shackles and you aren't planning to heavy haul are you ? Does your drive shaft continue to remain the same length, or is it longer now.

2012 fx2 crew cab. 2 piece driveshaft
New to this site. But I installed 2-3" lowering shackles on my truck today to level the back end. questioning whether or not to install pinion shims?
