Pinion angle shims w/ shackles and saleen spring question
Is it necessary to run pinion shims when running a shackle only drop?
I bought a used 06, took it to the dealer for a clunk/stumble on low speed downshifts and they blamed aftermarket shackles and put stock ones back in at no cost. Ended up being something else but they didn't put them back in.
Truck runs better now but its 2" higher in the rear. What sucks is I thought that it needed a 2" drop before they pulled them out so I ordered a set of shackles to level it, now i have a set of drop shackles to install to get the truck back to the level it was at when i bought it.
On to stupid question #2.
I keep seeing saleen drop leaf springs for sale, what else do i need to run these? how much of a drop? and is it worth doing?
I'm wanting to get the front down another 2" and the rear down whatever it ends up taking to make it level. I'd go farther but I'm on 22's w/ 305/40s
