Overall Performance on Lowered Truck
Am contemplating on lowering my 06 F150 2"-4" but would like to know the overall quality of the ride?
Is the vehicle's ride stiffer now?
Are we still able to perform a good alignement?
Are the tires wearing out faster (inboard/outboard threads)?
Are we seeing issues with the drivetrain due to the angles?
What is your overall opinion after riding it for awhile?
Which kit does most prefer?
Thanks ahead.

Mine was slighty. But its a truck, they dont ride good to begin with.

There should be no reason you cant. A good shop can align it right to spec.
Are the tires wearing out faster (inboard/outboard threads)?
Only if your alignment is bad.
Are we seeing issues with the drivetrain due to the angles?
Not if you use shims to correct it at install.

I personally love mine. Gave it a sporty feel, and is nice to go cruise around in. I would do it again, but lower haha.

I'm bias, i'd go Belltech. But all the kits are good. But for shocks, Belltech Street Performance hands down.

Belltech front drop struts is what you need. THis will replace your stock shock while retaining the stock spring and can be adjusted from 0-3 inch drop. RIde is very nice on the shock due to the valving and by keeping stock springs ride is not harsh.
Rear 4 inch flip kit. This kit by DJM will flip the leafspring under the axle and comes with a lifting hanger and shackle. THis will retain full towing specs and with the 4 inch drop in rear you do not have to notch it.
For rear shocks belltech street performance which are shorter which is what the kit requires. These shocks are great on ride
Total for everything 625 shipped and you will have a great riding truck.

Lowering often stiffens up the ride due to performance oriented spring rates. There are plenty of options, like the ones alredy offered, that keep stock ride.
Millions of people lower there truck and it has little to no effect on longevity of the truck. 2/4 will not make a differance short of a better looking truck all around.
If you want to drop, have the best ride and handling of your life, then air bags are where it is at. When done right the require virtualy no extra work then static drops but have millions of benefits.

What's involve with air bags, what kit would be needed to lower it 2/4 and what's the cost?
Tony, would this kit work on mine, just install new Bilstein shocks last summer and if possible, would like to keep them. They are 24-107617 model.

Yes then thats the kit you want. WIll keep stock front spring and use that shock and you do the djm lower a arms which dont affect ride.
IN rear you will need to get the shorter shocks.

Bags need a linked rear end. That is the most costly and time comsuming part. You can build a 3 link fairly easily and low cost. Then you need bags front and rear, a tank, compressor, and valves. You can bag a truck doing all the work your self for $2000 if you use atleast some used parts and $3000-$4000 if you use all new, top of the line parts. That would include digital air controll and everything at the high end prices.
Again you would need to do the work or else you can nearly double the price. A welder and a measuring tape are the two main tools you would need.

Can I use the Beltech Street performance with this kit instead of the DJM. Still debating towards which kit to get so this is why I'm asking.
Thanks
