I could have sworn there was a couple years the FX2 had a block. Guess I was mistaken.

My 07 does have the block with the little arm off it. I am afraid if I remove it that it will be nose high.

It should only be a 1" block, so do some measuring to see if that will get you level. I am sure you will be level if you take it out, if you are nose high, then you can easily lift it back up an inch by using the 1" drop hole on your shackles instead of putting the block back in.

Of course that is assuming your shackle has 2 sets of holes(most do, some don't).

Here is another good thread about lowering the 04-08 trucks (most is compatible with 09-13 trucks too). That guy seems to know a thing or two about lowering those trucks...

Yep that would be my plan. Removing the block, using shorter u-bolts and adjusting to the other hole (mine has 2 holes) if its too low.

yeah I have that block too been thinking of taking it out now that I have been riding around I want lower haha. anyone have good insight on flip kits? and front lowering springs? want to know if any of yall are running them and how you like it. im clueless with lowering first time lowering haha

Just picked up an 09 FX4, interested in lowering the rear end to level the truck. Your truck looks awesome. What are the shims for?

Shims are to keep your pinion in alignment at the correct angle. Some trucks require them to take away a vibration normally felt around 20-40 mph.

Ok cool, not too much money to eliminate any potential vibrations. I haven't done much research on the subject yet; is it fairly easy to install the shackles and shims?
