I don't know if lowering a 4x4 is bad for the truck but if it's doable and you can still utilize the four wheel drive features acceleration at the line would be amazing!!! I would do it for that simple fact... I just don't know if it's doable

Dont listen to these guys who are giving you about lowering your truck... a lowered truck if done right can do all the truck things still... my truck was a wimpy V6 before I lowered it and its still a wimpy V6 after I lowered it. It was not an off roader before. and its not an off roader now. But it does everything I intend it to do and I still can tow my car trailer with it lowered. I like the look and it handles better with a lowered center of gravity.

Thanks Nobman...I've spent a week on every other Truck Forum I could find...Ford, Dodge, Chevy....There are a few of us who like our Trucks low and far more who think a 4X4 was created to jack up, bury in mud, or give the impression that they'd like to, even though that would never actually happen . Though I can appreciate both Worlds, I like'm low...that's where I'm headed...........I can't see the purpose in throwing an accessory catalogue at a truck and calling it "different". It reminds me of a signature I read a long time ago. "I want to be different like everybody else" I've seen a million lifted trucks that all look alike...that's just no fun. Monsterface

OK...I'm done with this. What I don't understand is why some of you guys visit the "Lowered Truck" Forum to make your points. Easy to run your mouth anonymously, but that's the beauty of the internet. It's a Truck...I came here asking for advice from the guys in the "Lowered Truck Section"...You need to learn some self control, or simple manners. Monsterface

Most people click the 'New posts' link and run through all the active posts for the day. We don't check what forum the thread is in...

Again...don't take it personally...it's a PUBLIC forum.

I'm only going to say this once.

Lifted, dropped, rolling on 20's, whatever you like that's fine. Got an opinion? Awesome, lets hear it. Post it in a disrespectful manner towards other members and you WILL be warned, and then if it continues, will be gone. This is not directed towards one specific person, but rather EVERYBODY on this forum.

Last time I checked, we ARE all adults here. Let's act like them please?

Then again, it IS kinda fun to ban people.... :-)

Public yes, but people also need to learn to post up their disagreements or opinions respectfully. Just saying... :-)
