Question, has anyone leveled their truck by just lowering the rear? I assume most don't do that because raising the front is just easier?

I lowered mine 2" with Crown Suspension 1-2" lowering shackles. It wasn't hard. It took me about a couple hours to complete the install.

some peeps mentioned issues when hauling stuff, since it would take a lot less weight to have the rear sag "below" the front. This is one reason, besides being lazy, not mechanically inclined and my truck being a company vehicle, that I havent done it

I just had my 07 Screw dropped 2" in the rear with a Belltech kit installed at 4 Wheel Parts. I feel slight vibration in the steering wheel when driving and if feels like I have knobby tires when I slow down. I had new street tires and alignment from Pepboys after the install but it still vibrates. Any ideas what is wrong? Shorter shocks? Pinion shim?

Sounds like you need the pinion who you already mentioned. Did you order it from here? If so you'll need to ask for it. I didn't get one either and I had to ask and they shipped it right out. It should have been included so the truck wouldn't need to be messed with again . That's just my opinion though. It never fully solved the shimmy I had it the truck like so good I deal with it.

I went to the Belltech website and they have various degrees for the pinion shim. They come in 1,2,3,4 and 6 degrees. That seems like it could take a lot of trial and error to get it dialed in. It would have been nice if they mentioned this driveshaft alignment issue before I had the kit installed. I'm gonna call their tech dept on Monday.

Ok, talked to the Belltech tech and he said it is usually a 2 degree pinion shim that aligns the driveshaft for my 07 Screw FX2. It costs about $35 and its in the mail, so we'll see if this corrects the slight vibration problem. I will post the results.
