Why would one want to do that? LOL

I live in Florida and it is flatter than . . . . . well it is just flat!

Hard hard is it to lower the 2009 Platinum and are there any mechanical downsides to doing so?

LOL. I have family that lives about 5 minutes from the highest point in Fla. Needless to say, it's not a nose bleed by any means!

To a lot of people's surprise, not everyone buys a pickup to drove over mountains and through the deepest mud they can find. I know, I know...it's hard to believe, but it's the truth. I live in Ga. and also live in a rural county, guess what folks, my truck has NEVER been driven down a dirt road!!! There's many to choose from around here too. I simply choose to bypass mud and dirt as much as I can. Not knocking anyone that strives to sling mud, I love to watch people do it. I use to do it, just not in my current truck.

There shouldn't be any problems with lowering a Platinum. I can't imagine the suspension being way different from the standard 2wd F-150. From what I've seen on them they just seem to have a lot of fancy gadgetry inside them...

Go for it, just don't expect a warm welcome here for lowering it. Tons of 4x fans here, good guys. Just tons of 4x dudes.
