Default Lowered pulling a trailer?

Hello,

I've been considering a 2/4 3/5 lowering kit for quite a while for my truck. It's an 05 f150 2wd. I found a belltech 3/5 (i think, possiby a 2/4) so now I started thinking, I pull a small trailer all the time. I was wondering if it will still work for me?

That's a good question. I have a 2005 too and wondered if it changes the weight capacity since the weight is on the u-bolts instead of the springs themselves.

Have you consider adding air bags to your truck with the drop. I am only going to put a 2" drop on the back of my 04 SC to reduce the stink bug look. Which isn't as much as you are wanting but i am also going to add the firestone ride rite airbag to help with any heavy loads. Don't know if it would be feasible for the drop you want, but it gives you an option to get the drop you want and still be able to tow.

That is an option I haven't considered. I wonder how much something like that would set me back?

It depends on how much you want to spend. There are endless way to install airbags, you could do a simple bag with fitting to fill at a service station or go all the way up to a full system with 4 bags and on board air. I have seen bags sold in pairs as low as $59, but you'll need the brackets, lines, and fitting. It honestly depends on how much you want to spend, if you are able to fabricate or want too and does the system meet your needs and wants.

I have a 2/6 drop on my 05 2wd Scab and just towed a little jetski trailer today. Ahhh it sucks, My tow hitch would bottom out leaving my driveway and entering other driveways or parking lots that are at a bit of an angle. It was sketchy but I suppose it worked

im honestly not real wild about lowered trucks but i appreciate the time and effort they take but as far a pulling a trailer goes the only issue id see is if it was something heavier you might have a clearance problem but if its just a lawn mower i think you'd be ok.

Heres how low mine rides, I should really get a newer hitch for a lowered truck. I feel a lot like Kenny Powers when I'm driving around like this.
