Default lowered 2016

I just recently bought a 2016 platinum and also ordered a set of 26s, the tires are 305/30s that are roughly 33 inches tall.....what is killing me is the fender gaps I removed the rear block to lower the back 1.25" but it still isn't right. I'm looking for around 2" lower in the front. I have found a set of crown suspension 2" lowering springs, does anyone have experience with these? this truck rides like a caddie even with the 26s and I don't want to jeopardize the ride, also can anyone explain the difference in the 2/4 kit they sell vs just getting the springs and lowering shackles? I have lowering shackles and still wouldn't mind a tiny bit of rake? anyone with some information would be great I would appreciate it thanks

it's a terrible picture but this is the truck, I guess my goal is to eliminate some of the wheel well gap to make them look bigger, they've already been mistaken for 24s and I can't stand that! lol when I unwrapped the first wheel when I was going to install them for the first time I thought my god these are huge but then as soon as they got on the truck they don't look at all like 26s let alone big to me

2016 FX4. 2 inch crown springs in the front, 4 inch crown flip in the rear, on 305/40/23 tires I believe they measure just shy of 33 inches.. lowered 2016-image-3983043129.jpg lowered 2016-image-1644662114.jpg

Looks good!! Typo on tire size? Doesn't look like you did a 23" tire stretch on 26s.

There is quite a bit that goes into dropping a 4x4 15-17 F150. As we have documented in other threads, we have our F150 dropped with a 2/4" kit with aftermarket wheels and our performance parts (obviously:thumbs. When we did drop the truck we took note that our factory driveshaft was pushed out of place yoke to seal. We had to have a custom fabricated driveshaft made and installed.

This is something that you should explore prior to making any decisions on lowering a 4x4!

No typo. OP wanted an idea of what the wheel gap would look like with a 2 inch crown spring and a 33inch tire. The 305/40/23 nittos on my truck measure 32.6 overall, so he would be looking at a wheel gap similar to what I have.

Indeed. With the suspension loaded, the yoke was absolutely buried into the back of the transfer case. Had the local driveline guys build me a new shaft, and all is good. Probably something the flip kit manufacturer should note in the instructions....

that's crazy.....I don't know how comparable that is though unless it looks different in real life than your pics......i have 6.5 inches of gap from top of my tire to wheel well in the front.....yours looks like you have an inch.....have you measured the space between? it might be the difference in wheel size too......I gained an inch of gap by adding the 26s plus the tire is an inch taller as well.... how does your truck ride compared to stock?

A 33" tall tire on a 26" only leave 3.5" of sidewall. That's not going to ride very well. All my vehicles are lowered or bagged on low pros so I'm not being a hater just stating the obvious.
