I have the Belltech 3.5/5.5 kit and I also used Eibach coils from a 04-08 truck to go down 4.5 in the front. No notch for now, eventually I will notch it and go down to 6" drop. Rides great, i don't really tow anything, but have had it loaded with some pavers and it did ok, the slam air helper bag will fix that. Which is one of my next mods.

It wouldnt be too hard to modify the crossmember to be flush with the frame. but then also the exhaust y pipe hangs down too.

I agree!
Looking good, as always
My 2005 was 2.5" at the front crossmember, that gets old quick, but then you just look at the truck again and you get over it.

My 2004 Cobra sat super low!! I had to be super careful when driving it. I got this truck to get away from that but now I am about to lower it soon. Just not as low as some here. Got a 2/4 kit on the way!

Cant Stop Wont Stop
Looks really good. I raised mine from 5.5 to 4.5 in front but I'm done with it. I'll be looking to trade my DJM's 3.5in lca's for some stock ones. I wanna end up with a 3 or 3.5 in front to keep a somewhat lowered look but not scrape anymore. But it DOES look hella good, tho.

All you guys going with the 3/5 kit, which is the better kit? Belltech or DJM? I refuse to cut the frame on my brand new truck, is a notch necessary for the most comfortable ride? I take trips with 2-3 other ppl in my truck regularly, will the added weight of the passengers cause any issue(some bigger dudes 250-300lbs.)? Are the shocks that come with the kits any good? Can air shocks be used in the rear to help with bottoming out opposed to a slambag kit? How much actual travel do you have between frame and axle with the flip?
Also i have a fx2 with the front bumper valence that hangs low, common to scrape these on curbs n such?
Sorry for all the questions, this would ne my first dropped truck.
