Default Installing 2inch drop shackles tomm and have a question. Please help!!!

So via tracking says my 2" drop shackles are coming in tomm and will be doing the install as soon as I get home from work. I've been doing a lot of research prior to ordering the shackles but still haven't found a definite answer. Now I ordered shims with the kit and I know on these truck it's hit or miss. So I rather be safe then sorry and save me from doing the work twice. So the question is, how do the shims go in? Fat end towards the tailgate or fat end towards the engine? Some people say or have installed the fat end towards the tailgate and vice versa. I also read that on trucks with the leaf on top of the axle (like our trucks) the fat end goes towards the engine. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Agreed. Ford had so many various leaf springs, tow packages and ect for the rear it is hard to say if you will even end up with a vibration. You could end up creating one by installing a shim you didn't need. If you do end up needing the shim Belltech part number 4974 will get it taken care of.
