I also added 11/16" poly button head bumpstops instead of the taller McGaughys stops....that alone eliminated 95% of the bottoming out I was getting. I can definitely live with it now....it takes a serious bump to bottom it out now. I also added the OEM rear fender liners which really clean things up.
Anyway....

How did you set up the front Belltech struts.....did you set it up for oem or did you remove a ring or 2 to get it to drop to 3"?

No ring at all on the struts. I did have to slot the lower control arm mounting holes to get it to align but it aligned perfectly with adjustment room to spare.

So you didn't use the McGaughy's parts to lower it with the Belltech strut...just the Belltech strut.

Yea. It's all BellTech in front now and McGaughys out back along with the BellTech shocks. I left the McGaughys shock extenders on the rear to straighten up the shock angle and replaced the McGaughys bump stops with button head stops. I'd highly recommend those...cut the bottoming out to almost zero plus one of the foam McGaighys stops was already split in less than 2 weeks.

Hmmmm, yeah, I was hoping to use the full McGaughy's kit with Belltech front struts, Belltech rear shocks to eliminate the need to have to slot the front......what did you use to slot the front? I was thinking a 1/4" carbide bit?

That's it. A carbide bit on a die grinder cuts through those slots like nothing. Super easy to do. If you go the full drop with the BellTech struts you're gonna have to do the slots.
