Anyone know how difficult the install on the rear is for the groundforce kit? I don't want to have to remove the gas tank or do any kind of cutting/wielding just install a lowering kit.

I have read about everything possible about the lowering options... I am still unclear one thing...everyone goes with Belltech, and I know they are quality, and flip kits.. not a fan of those.. poor engineering on fullsize truck.. one thing I wonder is why Groundforce is not used or pushed???? forum run by competators??.. If you go to Truckin magazine, Hot rod mag... all the big custom truck folks they do their builds with Groundforce.... anyone have real unbiased input???

Theres no way around lowering the gas tank. The front bolt on the left side leaf spring needs to come off to the tank side. As far as cutting. Idid the carrier beaing kit and I cut the stock bracket off. But I have heard of a new version that doesnt reqiure it anymore. As far as ride quality I love it, I just didnt like the rear shocks almost have give and feel real stiff. I put the stock ones back on for now.
I will be going with front belltech with stock srings and adding shackles to the rear to get another 1in drop.

I deal with ground force along with belltech and djm and installing it on these trucks since late 03 on the 04 ups i just dont deal with the gf stuff anyone. Cost way to much and for ride quality 2/4 the belltech drop struts/rear shocks and djm flip is what I have narrowed down to the best bang on the buck.

Also depends on what magazine if you look at the truck show not to long ago they did the belltech kit on it and love it.

I beleive alot of guys go with belltech cause they are adjustable and made for being lowered on and work with stock springs for a stock ride feel. $165. for front adjustable shock made to be lowered=no brainer.

belltech drop struts mated with the stock springs ride far better than any aftermarket spring on stock shock truck ive done on the 04 ups.

Man... this is tougher choice than picking ice cream at grocery store... lol... OK .... my install guy recommended them too I just over cautious... nerotic... he also said my truck has fourth overload leaf in rear that could come out and get another 1/2 inch or so with shackles.. figure start there and go like 1.5 down in front... if not low enough my only fear is I have seen the DJM 4" flip, and it is right on 4" (GF 4" rear leaf is actually 3.75).. when level I think the new fords actual look like they sag in rear due to body shape. so if I go lower with DJM 4" flip is there a way to raise it a little or is lowering the front to like 2.5 the only option. Don't know if the flip has any options with blocks etc....

I would just go with front belltech and rear shackles 2 front 2 rear and go from there. Like I have said before, I like the GF kit just want to go a little lower. If you want to go lower another option is Go to a spring shop and have the rear leaf reacred with a drop. A freind of mine did this and it work great for him.
