4" pffff :P
there's at least 6" of space between the tire and fender

What are you using it for? towing a 5th wheel travel trailer?
single axle made me ask.

Pulls my 51' double slide out race car rig, I am dropping it to get it to ride better, it has 12,000 springs in the front but only has 9800 lbs on the ft. ax. Already has air ride on the rear.

So I am taking the helper leaf off ( there are only two leafs), and pulling the 1" axle spacer, that will soften up the front spring rate and the air bag goes between the axle mount and the frame, so you can "adjust" your air/ ride height accordingly.

Already have all the parts, going to try and get it done this weekend, some heavy lifting involved, lol.

Well springs are out and separated, but I needed a new centering bolt to put them back together, should be able to get one today and finish up on Wed.

Well, just got it back from the alignment shop, drives and rides MUCH better, took all of the "harshness" out of it.

I will have to pull the steering wheel off and re-center as it is now off to one side, but that is not a big issue.

In the pic there is only about 25# of air in the bags, that seems to be about right and gives me the rake I was looking for.

Here's the pics,
