I get were your coming from. I will be the first to admit that the stock XL wheels aren't the best looking wheel out there. . . not even close. To be honest I've had them on for about 6 months and for the first few weeks I wasn't sure I liked them. At the time I decided to go this route I couldn't decide what wheels I wanted but I knew I deffinently wanted a unique look. I thought hey . . . these could look good if done right. Kind of a vintage street rod look with a modern twist. One day I might get tired of them and move on to an aftermarket wheel or one of the manny good looking OEM wheels that fit our trucks. Probably in a 20 or 22". But for now I'm kind of liking them. Like them or not you have to admit I did hit the mark as far as them being unique.

You definately have a good point, you went a unique route with them and yes your truck does have a unique street rod look. All in all its a sweet looking truck with a sick stance and all..good luck with it!

Glad to see you didn't use the shocks that come with the kit either, they are way too stiff, I put the stock ones back in. They forgot to include the bump stops with my kit so I purchased some Belltech ones. I like the ground force kit, but sometimes I think I should have got a 3/5 DJM/Belltech to go a little lower
BTW, your truck looks great.

BTW, Not trying to highjack your thread. I've been lurking in the shadows for a few years absorbing all kinds of information and picking up ideas. I've finally gotten my truck to the point were I feel it's worthy of showing and this seemed like the perfect thread.
Thanks, Jay

Thanks. Your truck looks good too. I've always liked the two tone. Did you get your truck lowered the way you want it? If so. . . I would like to see some pictures.

Thanks Jay, Actually for the longest time I have wanted a 04-08 since they came out and the first truck I saw upclose and fell in love with was an 04 screw exactly like mine, although I wanted a black one originally I saw this at a dealer across the street from my job and it ended up being mine. As for the lowering, first I did the rear lowering shackles and drop struts up front, I wanted it lower so I had the dront struts set at the lowest setting 3" and then bought a djm flip kit for the rear, now it looks good but the rear sits 1/2 inch lower in the back, it rides good I must say, i will post pics shortly.
