Default 2020 Screw AWD drop

Hello,

Have a 2020 Lariat 6.5 AWD/4x4. Looking for mild drop, likely 2/3 from Belltech and looking at 24" Dub 8 Ball in chrome.

Anyone have suggestions or feedback on 2/3 lowering kits for 4x4?

I won't go so low as I use the truck for Daily and business purposes.

Photos and a chance to show off your truck with similar set up would be appreciated!

Wouldn't even mind some other wheel combination photos.

Thanks

If you mean 4-auto, it is not the same as All Wheel Drive.
Not sure where you're going with the lowering kit related to 4wd aside from drive shaft angles.

If I'm mistaking your AWD acronym/abbreviation, please let us know.

I don’t think Belltech (or anyone else to my knowledge) offers a 2/3 kit for the 15-20’s. It’s easy to piece together if that’s what you truly want. If you want “mild”, take a look at the 1.5/2.5 from Ground Force / Ford Performance. You could also do a factory 2wd strut up front for a 1.5” drop. If you want 2” up front, go with a lowering strut or Maxtrac lowering spindle.

For the rear, you can get a 1.5” or 2” drop shackle. The 2” drop shackle will require some minor bed support trimming. If you remove the 1.25” factory lift block in addition to the shackles, you’ll have about 2.75 -3.25” of rear drop. You might have a little too much positive rake if you run 2” drop up front tho with that rear combo. Anything beyond the 2” shackle and block removal and you’ll have to go to a rear flip kit.

I have read that this will work:
Belltech 2" front lowering struts.
DJM 3" rear shackle.

This is how it sits today

The Belltech strut up front will work no issues. I think you might have some misinformation regarding the shackles. The biggest (most drop) shackle on the market is 2”, made by DJM, Crown, and Maxtrac. If there were 3” shackles, they would protrude up into the bed. With 2” shackles, you still have to notch out some of the bed support for clearance as it is. 4wd guys can net 3” of drop in the rear by using 2” shackles AND removing the 1.25” factory lift block. Any lower and you have to go the flip kit route.

Search the forums on here for it, there are a few threads.

Don't go with Belltech struts... Go Bilstein and don't look back. The ride is so much improved over stock. Plus, you can raise it slightly if need be. Get them for the rear as well...

Has anyone done the 2wd struts on a 4x4? I am very interested in this but I have seen threads where they say you net 1.5 inches and threads where they are adamant about it being 1". I removed the rear block and it made some differance to the look but I would like to add the 2" drop shackles depending on the 2wd shock drop..
