Anyone else have to clearance their DJM control arms??
While trying to install new DJM 2" drop control arms and Bilstein 4600 series struts the mechanic found the strut was hitting the control arm. After brief consultation with DJM they said it was OK to clearance the arm to resolve this problem. However they seemed baffled as to why and were quick to blame it on the Bilsteins being different somehow. The Bilstein has the same overall length and body length. They are virtually identical except the OEM strut gets wider where the lower spring seat mounts and the Bilsteins keep the smaller diameter all the way, so the OEM strut would have required even more clearancing.
Interesting side note, after sending the after picture to DJM they told they had recently redesigned their arms to look like what I had to do to mine. They said they had to do it for the 2015+ but just made the change apply to all years. I guess I got old stock arms, lucky me.....

I didn't have to do any clearance with my 3/6. I am going to look at mine in a few to see how much clearance I have between the LCA and the strut.
