Default Airbags with 3" lowering shackles??

Has anybody lowered their truck using the Belltech 2" lowering shackles and taken out the rear block, and then added airbags?? My local shop installed my AirLift helper bags, but the dumbass kept the top bracket parallel with the frame but the bottom (on top of the leaf spring) is at a pretty good angle, so the bag kinda twists... Anybody with pics of their install?? Thanks

Default Maybe some helpful info

I'd take your truck back to the shop during a slow time of day and have them 'demo' the lift and deflate for you while you inspect it with them . Maybe a fresh set of 'eyes' will help them determine if your bags are installed correctly .

Check out this video , it might have some information useful to you .
I'll be installing some helper bags after my truck dropped . Soon ...

Good luck

Yes you can remove your OE block and install Belltech 2" shackles. Make sure your shop added a SLAM AIR KIT to your truck. Should be part number 59103 if you have 2WD.

the bag is not suppose to be twisted.

with the wheel on the ground the bag is 100% straight:

You keep letting the axle hang by the bag and you won't have to worry about it at all. The bag will be junk.
All he should have to do is twist the top of the bag so it is straight.

Should definitely be lined up parallel, vertical and horizontal.
They usually come with an alignment bracket to make getting it lined up easy.

hey I was just wondering what kit or where did you get this kit from? I have a 2005 f150 that has a flip kit for the leaf springs as well and I want to lower it 2 more inches and put air bags on it for the ride like these pics.. any help would be great

just a flip kit bottom out quite often. Unless you notch the frame. Forget about it!
