4x4 Lowering Build/Questions
Progress will begin tonight as long as the UPS tracking info is correct. One question is to the guys with 5" in the back and exhaust - did you still run it over the axle or dump before? I will definitely need to have some exhaust work done because my mid pipe actually hangs below my cross member for some reason.
For now the plan is 3/5 on Lariat 20s with Toyo Proxes 275/55-20. I'm still debating on how to run the exhaust exit. The muffler setup will be a Magnaflow X pipe with twin 14" Magaflow mufflers. I don't know if I should have it exit behind the cab like my L, or just dump in that area so it will be hidden. Input is welcomed.
Parts list consists of:
Belltech Lowering Struts - Part# 25001
Belltech Street Perf. Shocks - Part# 2212EE
DJM 4" Flip - also have DJM 1" lift shackles to make it 5", and factory to go 6"
All parts came from Tony aka DJM/BELLTECH DIRECT. Great guy to deal with, and he answered all of my questions whether they were dumb or not.
It will also be getting new brake pads/rotors and ball joins. It should be riding pretty damn nice again. I'm still a little undecided on helper bags too as I only tow a couple times a year, and it's either atvs and side by sides or the Lightning on occasion.
Here are the before pics: 2.5" level, DJM lift shackles, Federal M/T 35x12.50-20, and .25 spacers so they wouldn't rub. I'll post some update pics a long the way.
Mods can move this is if you so see fit, but I figured it'd fit better here than the build section.

Thanks! The flip will be finished up tonight, and then getting started on the front. I'm leaning toward these KMC Skitch in 22", not too sure though.

I just knew I'd get some of those comments, haha. The rear is completely finished now with a 5" flip and Belltech SP shocks. Either tomorrow or Friday the front will be in progress. Finally time to ditch that 2.5" level and 35s and not look back. Here are the only progress pics I have so far as I've been lazy with taking pics.

awesome pics, bro!!
keep them coming.
there is ZERO wrong with a 4x4 lowered. We get snow up here, so I like to have it from time to time. And I like to have a vehicle that handles! Let's call it the best of both worlds.
It's gonna look and handle great.

It should be finished up Wednesday, and I'll have more pics. The progress was slow this weekend since I spent most of it at the river. The struts are out and the springs will get swapped over tomorrow, and I'm picking up some new balljoints. I hope it looks good.
