2013 F-150 Limited 4x4 Lowering Questions
Hi all,
Just bought my first F-150 (2013 F-150 Limited SuperCrew 4x4 w/ 6.2L V8)! I like everything about it but the ride height is turning me off. I use this vehicle for work and live in a place where we get quite a bit of snow in the winter and will be driving this truck as a daily driver. I need to lower it but I cant seem to find any definitive answers on whether or not I can actually lower this vehicle... Most vehicles on here are of older Models. I'd like to drop the front end by 2" with a SLIGHT rake which I guess would be a 3"-4" drop in the rear. Can someone confirm which manufacturer lowering kit will fit this vehicle and if anyone has pictures of a 2013 Limited or Platinum 4x4 F-150 I could take a look at with this lowering I would appreciate it!
I also wanted to put this out there. If anyone has an FX4 and would trade the stock head and tail lights (black) for the ones from the limited (clear), drop me a line!
Thanks.

Since no one replied I have emailed Belltech and they said the following. For future people looking for this infromation.
"Thank you for contacting Belltech Sport Trucks, we do offer a 2/3" kit for your truck. The kit #978SP includes a lifting lowering strut for the front and a shackle set for the rear as well as rear shocks."

You could always use the Belltech 978SP kit as already stated, or you could piece together a kit. You should be able to use most 2wd parts/kits except for spindles. Mine is a 2007 4x4 and I used 2wd parts to lower it.
One option would be to use Belltech drop struts in the front for 2" and flip the rear, or you might get to 4" by removing the lifting block and using a 2" shackle - can't confirm it's a full 4" though. You could also use lowering leafs depending on the ride you want, but expect a firmer ride. Some love lowering leafs and others hate them.
Another option would be a DJM kit with 2" control arms, and whichever method you prefer for the rear. Personally, I went with BT 2wd struts, DJM 4" flip, BT SP shocks, and Slam Air helpers. I have no complaints so far.
If you use 2wd struts keep in mind you'll gain an inch over advertised drop - the spring perch is lower on the strut body for the 2wd than 4wd.

you can lower it and ive done a few. Main question when I set these trucks up is measure the truck from ground to fenderlip all around and then check to see if there is a lifting block in rear and how thick.
Tell me that I can dial in a kit for you

I don't take possession of the vehicle for another couple of days but will for sure provide this information and see what you can come up with. A local installer here will do the 2/3 Belltech install but want about $1000.00 to do it all, does that sound fair? That is supply and install.
Does anyone have any other mechanics up their sleeves that can do this in Calgary, Alberta if I go the "piece a kit together" route?
Thanks!

I wasn't aware the 2013 Limited came with a 6.2.
