Default 2012 FX2 Lowering Options?

I'd like to lower the truck 1" front and 3" rear. Is this even possible? I currently have 2" ground force drop shackles in the rear but still want it slightly lower.

Can you please post a picture so I can see what it looks like? I was wanting to buy this one for my 2013.

Also this might be a silly question, but if I do the Ford Racing Drop shackles, I shouldn't have to worrry about my warranty being voided right?

Just because its a Ford Racing part doesn't mean it won't void your warranty. Basically any aftermarket part you install that causes another "related" part to fail, will void your warranty.

Ford racing shackles are made by Groundforce, same thing. Warranty depends on dealer. We are limited with the F150 and lowering it... you have the basic 2" rear shackle and the Belltech adjustable strut for the front to due very minor lowering.. The belltch can go down 1"-3". so with it you can have a 1/2 drop. after that is 2/4 from most companies. Groundforce made the ford lightning and ford racing parts, so prbably has good insight to f150. I know a few who did a 4" in rear and put 1/2 or 1" block inspring to make it 3, but rides like crap..... Groundforce 2/4 is pretty good, my dealer actually useas it on new trucks and warranties it with sale of truck....

What are some possible risks from doing a drop? I have never had a 2wd vehicle, I have only dealt with 4x4 and have done lifts and leveling kits on my rides with no effects to the vehicle.

If you do rear shackles only there is no real risks at all on normal driving. Obviously if you tow or haul heavy you have reduced height of rear so it will sag. With the new Fords make sure you put the pinion shims in when doing shackles. Even if you are one of the lucky ones with no vibration still put the shims. It can have small enough effect on pionion angle to slowly wear out seals. Shims with shackles keep angle same as stock so no risk at all. Any thing lower than that..... 2/4, 3/5 etc.... depends on quality of install. Most companies have quality products if installed correct. I think most issues I have heard of are due to people doing it themselves or going to lest reliable shop and something not installed correct.

Default lowering shackles

I had lowering shackles installed in my 2012 F150 XLT and noticed a vibration between 15 and 20 mph after couple hundred miles.I called the supplier and he said I needed pinion shims installed.I had the lowering shackles removed until I find a better quality lowering shackle with shims.Any recommendations?
I like the look of XLT std cab reg bed 3.7L with the level look and I can see better .
Thanks,
Don Richie

just add 4 degree shims and will take care of it.
