2012 FX2 Drop
Hi All,
New here but not new to F150s. I recently lost my 07 FX2 to some one running a red light, funny thing is that he was driving an F150 too.

I had it lowered with Eibach spring when I first got it. I loved the look but the ride was a bit stiff. I told my installer I didn't want to lose my hauling ability and we went with new springs all the way around.

So now I am looking to lower my 2012 and there seems to be a lot of options. I want to go 2" down in the front and maybe 3" on the back.
My truck has a 2" rake stock and I would like to keep a little rake. But most of all, if possible, I don't want to stiffen the ride.

Love it.. But not an expert on suspension . Check out this thread https://www.f150forum.com/f66/djm-be...shipped-49830/
Sorry about the loss, but at least you're still around to drive another truck.
I'd like to lower my truck about the same 2"/3", but i haven't found anything between a 2" drop shackle and a 4" flip kit. I'd like to keep my truck's towing capability and most of the ride comfort.

I ordered front adjustable struts and 2" drop shackels from Tony this week. Hope to have them in soon!
He said to go anymore then 2" in the back you need to do a flip kit. Don't really want to do that. But I am sure, like you, I'll want it lower.
I'll post pic's as soon as I have it finished.

I have same truck... 2012 tuxedo black fx2... and was looking at doing basically the same thing... 1" in front with belltech strut and 2" in rear with beltech shackles and shocks... was wondering if you did yours yet and how you like it. especially ride compared to stock. photo would be cool too.

Shame about your old truck, as it looked great. Good thing you picked up such a nice new one...
I've got an '11 4x4 SCrew, and have ordered a Belltech kit for mine. Shocks all the way around, and 2"drop shackles. So if you take out the rear blocks and drop the front struts to their maximum, you have your 2/3 drop. Many here have done it already I believe with success.
Good luck with yours. I'll post picks once mine's done.
