For Sale &/or Want to Trade

1) Members Must have 60 days tenure or minimum 25 posts to post in Classifieds section.



2) You MUST post up a clear picture of what you are selling or want to trade, not some factory or internet catalog picture! With the ease of digital pictures these days with cell phones and digital cameras, this should be easy for almost everybody.
Multiple items = Multiple pics with screen name & date.
Multiple pics of the same item = One screen name & date Pic will do.
The only exception is if someone is parting out a truck.



3) In the picture, you MUST have a piece of paper clearly showing YOUR screen name and date on the paper and lying with the item being sold so we know that it is YOUR item and not somebody else’s picture or off Google images…
Photoshopping screen name & date is not acceptable.



4) This isn't ebay, post up a set price! No "feeler threads" and no best offer threads.
Link's to ebay/craigslist will not be allowed.



5) Threads that do not meet the classified's requirements will be removed.

For those of you selling entire trucks, see Lenn's picture below. It is possible.
You only need to have ONE picture showing this paper, not every picture of the truck.

Sir, I respectfully challenge therationale for 50 posts in order to qualify to offer something for sale. I have checked in quite frequently, nearly daily, since joining. sometimes i log in and sometimes i do not. I am a novice and find that reading the blog helps me understand and maintain my truck. I dont have anything forsale, but it escapes me why i could not use the blog to offer something for sale just because i have not commented 50 times. certainly i could send a cute little picture/AVATAR, etc or a "2X" signalling agreement or the like. or i could simply comment 50X on the same thread...I dont understand the arbitrary 50x discriminator...why not 10X or 100X or 1KX? We actually changed the rules for that, you just found the one link that I forgot to update. It's 25 posts or 2 month tenure so you are all good!

And the post count rule is to help weed out scammers, who usually create a new account and then immediately post up 3 to 5 things for sale, get money from members, and disappear. Sadly it does happen, albiet not too often as we try to keep an eye out for that. This certainly isn't a foolproof way to avoid them but it does drastically cut down on number of them that try.
