Northeast: Timing Components 4 sale...
#1
Hello all. I have the following GENUINE Ford Parts for sale to change out the timing components on a 5.4 3v Triton. Included are the Cam Phasers, guides, tensioners, chains, lower sprocket, timing cover gaskets, and an entire set of Rocker arms/lifters. I removed the Rocker arms/lifters from their packages and soaked them in 5W20 oil in preparation for the timing change, but because of the below debacle I placed them back in their packages. Unfortunately during my spark plug change a screw from a cheap tool I used entered my cylinder without my knowledge. I started the engine up and Ka-blooey. Camera in cylinder showed a screw embedded in my piston. A check of my tools turned up the source of the screw. See my F150 post "Absolutely Devastated". I am looking to unload these parts to help me with the cost of the new engine and components. I paid about $850 for the timing components, $275 for the valve lifters and rocker arms. I looking for best offer. Thank you for your time.

I was told through a local dealership that they did update the Cam Phasers to eliminate the previous problems. I was given the Cam Phaser part number and ordered them on Amazon, matching the part number. It is a genuine Ford timing component.
In saying that, I cannot find a link or discussion where Ford claims to have updated their phasers, or proof of the update. I also have been told that companies who claim to sell updated phasers are telling you a load of crap. I figured I would still be better off going with the genuine Ford Part than the aftermarket ones.
Hope that helps.
