I've been using this PHP Gryphon for two years now. PHP did a great job in making this tuner. Truck really comes alive with the canned tunes. I imagine the custom tunes are even better yet. The time is coming to start thinking about getting my next vehicle so I am taking some aftermarket add-ons out and putting them up for sale. Tuner will be included as well as the (never used) gauge pod and mounting hardware, will include OBDII cord require to connect. As can be seen in the pictures the programmer is set back to stock and will work perfectly in your 2004-2008 4.6L or 5.4L F150.

Are the PHP Gryphon canned tunes different than the ones that come on the stock Evo unit?

Yes. Arguably better.

So, like an 'out of the box' Evo, this tuner will be ok on a stock 5.4?

Yup. I'm still using a stock tow tune from a PHP Gryphon on my Lariat, right out of the box.
