Default Zone suspension lift FAIL!!!

I went out tonight and got a phone call my buddy was stuck. So went out and pulled him out And decided to break the new suspension in right. WRONG! Had no problem going through mud. But I was turning around and my rear tires were in a rut. My buddy says just punch it. I hit the gas and then all hell breaks loose. Literally. BAMN. Hit the breaks put in park and turn off the engine. And jump out to find that one of the U-bolt broke. Allowing the blocks to move which allowed the rear end to tilt and then snapping my driveshaft. The shocks bent but was barley holding me rear end on. My lift is one week old and I'm already disappointed. Lucky a friend with a cummins pulled me to the road and had a tow truck pick me up. Here's some pics. Will update tomorrow with better pictures.

the reason it failed was due to stacked blocks. The blocks shifted and alowed the springs to wrap. That was what caused the broken drive shaft. You need a set of traction bars, along with a 1 piece rear block.

I agree with you but what allowed the blocks to shift was the u bolt snapped right under the treads

If its a week old it probably hasn't been retightened like its supposed to after a while. This battle could easily go either way. If they're dumb enough to just fix a muddy truck no questions asked, then awesome. But they could say it hasn't been retorqued yet like its supposed to and it's not their fault. AND the stacked blocks. AND the lack of traction bars. And it sounds like the rear axle was just binding in the rut. If you did have all that stuff I'm willing to bet you'd be replacing an axle shaft or differential right now.

I personally have never used any u-bolts shipped with any kit. I have always hade some sitting on the shelf from a local spring shop. I personally think the failure was casue by axle wrap due to large tires, and stacked blocks. I think that is what caused the u-bolt to snap, and it is clearly evident buy the broken driveshaft.

Yea diddnt you do this install yourself? did you re tighten everything before you went wheeling ?? Your required to take back any suspension set up to the shop after like i think its 50 or 100 miles to tighten everything up again.
