long time no update...

The truck has been plugging away with hardly any whimper. Now that we are about to have a winter snow it starts acting up. So I've begun a small tune up, one rant though... WHOEVER DESIGNED THE LOCATION OF THE OIL FILTER IS AN IDIOT!!! And on a side note, WHOEVER PUT THE OIL FILTER ON LAST WAS AND EVEN BIGGER IDIOT!!!

Sheesh! I can't get this stupid thing off and its in such a horrible spot I can't get any leverage, now I'm off to buy a stupid oil filter wrench in hopes I can get this thing off at 3am! And yes I've tried the screwdriver trick... didn't budge! ugh...

I promise guys updates within the year! lol

Well I decided to go to bed and try again in the morning. Today I picked two oil filter socket like end cap tools. Sales guy said that was the best thing for the job. Got home, dang thing slips right off! May be because I had already jammed a screwdriver through it and warped the can a bit. Also had residue of oil so.... I also removed the front skid plate to access it from a different angle. Ran into a SNAFU there with the stupid nuts-serts in the frame just spinning and not holding to let the bolt unscrew!! So out comes the angle grinder to hack them off. Again tried to loosen by hand and got nowhere. The next thing was to borrow the neighbors filter wrench and that was a big fail because the space is tiny in there to get any leverage. So back to plan B, shove a screwdriver through and hope it works! Well after battling this stupid filter it finally budged! Oh and a little shot of PB Blastser helps too.

So if any of you have this problem, forget the tools just impel the thing and go to work!

Just got new tail lights for the ol' beast, looking sharp now with some LEDs. I'll post pics... well sometime.

Oh anyone have their rear window leak at the seal? Can this be replaced? I have a full back glass/no slider. THANKS

Yessir. It takes a couple hours but not bad at all. I used the roll of 3m butyl tape from advance auto and have had no trouble since.
