my gauges was acting up turn out it was the altenator not putting out enough i had it rebuilt and it runs like a champ now i would check that or either your battery could have a dead cell in it i had that happen to

I have a 99 f 150 xlt... i have the problem of the digital odmeter keeps fading out and i can tap it and it comes back then i hit a bump and it goes back out again... anyone have or had this problem... knows how to fix it... or should i just tear apart my dash, AGAIN... To fix this problem with a new one or try to replug it all back in... any ideas

I just bought a 97 f150 4x4 with the 4.6 with 169,000 for 3400 $$. The trade in shows 4,400. Found one on auto trader with 205,000 miles they wanted 8,000 $$. Thought that was way outta range if ya ask me.. Sounds like you got a good deal there.
