Where would the wire for the door lights originate from? I wanna hunt it down and really see if the wire has been cut off or hasn't been there period.

Ok I've been googling and I see threads on it but not any for my year truck (2003). Where are my dome light wires??

It's going to generally be the same thing for all of our trucks from 1997 to 2003. So look for 97-03 instead of just 2003. You might find more info

you could just tap into the actuall dome light it has 3 screws just touch the wires to each screw and find out which turn the lights on

Ok well guys I did it. I found the wire to the dome light and I managed to install one of the lights today. I ran out of wire so I need to go get some more tomorrow and do the second one. I really like this though....
