Oh ok then I guess mine never had lights.

Idk how it would look if I wired them to the dome light because then they'd all come on even if just one door is opened, but I will try.

Is there a write up on how to do this like which wires is it?

Even if you wired them into the factory door lights they'd both come on whenever a door is open

all lights are gonna come on either way, but since youre gonna put the lights on the door you will only see the light of the door thats open

Yeah it's impossible to get only one to come on with the door it's on. If you open one door, they all will come on. That is unless you did some serious modding and fabbed up some type of trigger that trips when only one door is open to control when a light came on. Other than that you can't.

It can be done for cheap. I'm just to lazy to type it out and it isn't too logical for me.

Browning has probably played more with this than anyone. So his advice is golden. If they are red you will have to wire them. If they are clear you have the wiring

Well the complicated way would be to use the existing door ajar switch and slave a relay to it with its own power feed. The up side your lights will work independent of each other, the down side is the work involved just to accomplish it. check it out, I'm sure you can figure out what i mean in this diagram. Love the idea now you got me ripping my puddle lights out to put these in.

My 03 has the all red lenses and came from the factory with the lights. I've also worked on a few other F150's that have the same setup as mine with lights
