Default wiring foglights to the auto headlight switch

Hellooooooo, is it possible to wire my fogs to the auto setting on my headlight switch? What I want is for the fogs to come on automatically when my low beams come on. I don't care if they stay on when I put the high beams on( I found that mod but don't care for it).

I assume it can be done but am not very good with figuring out the electrical stuff. It's probably easy I just need to know what to hook to where!!

The truck is a 2000 Lariat(in case you didn't see my name hahaha).

You can just splice your positive wires from the fog lights into the positive wire going to your headlight before it connects to the bulb, ensure that it's the wire for the low beam (there are 3, 1 for the high beam, 1 for the low beam and a ground wire). Then make sure the fog lights negative wires are grounded to the chassis... Pretty straight forward.

Thats kinda what I thought. But I don't know for sure if that will work. I was thinking that might dim my low beams because it is splitting the power between the lows and fogs instead of just powering the lows?

Anybody ever done this?

its not splitting power there both going to be receiving 12v... just give it a try. Worst case scenario, you blow a fuse.
